GREENBLATT & SEAY NEWS

Greenblatt & Seay and Friends will be performing an original, zany, musical version of "Bremen Town Musicians".  This ancient tale, collected by the Brothers Grimm, tell the story of four aging animal: (a dog, a cat, a donkey, and a rooster), and how they found each other (after being discarded by their owners for being too old), and decided to form a band. This family-friendly version features clever narration, lively vocals, and the added textures of guitar, harmonica, 5-string viola, and some suprises.  Join in on the fun on Sunday, November 13, at 2:30 PM, downstairs in the Old Avoca, Nebraska Schoolhouse, in Avoca, Nebraska.  The performance will be followed by refreshments, and the opportunity to have a jam session with the cast of "Bremen Town Musicians". Admission is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for students & seniors, and $1.00 for children.  For more information, call 402-275-3221, log on to www.greenblattandseay.com, or e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. Championship fiddler and fiddle book author, Deborah Greenblatt, will discuss various ways to perform that classic fiddle tune, Orange Blossom Special.  This wonderful piece encourages improvisation, giving the fiddler opportunities to make their fiddle sound just like a train.   The Workshop takes place on Saturday, November 19, 2011, 1 PM - 3 PM, in the Old Avoca Schoolhouse, Avoca, Nebraska.  Pre-registration is required, enrollment is limted, and there is a $20.00 fee.  For more information, or to register, call 402-275-3221, or send an e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots.
