For the 5th year in a row the Springfield St. Joseph Knights of Columbus are participating in a worldwide program to give away New Winter coats to children in need. The coats vary in size and typically fit Girls and Boys from Elementary thru Middle school children. If you have a child or children or if you know of someone who has a child or children in need of a new Winter Coat and cannot afford to purchase one please call me and we will try to get you fixed up. Mark your calendars for 2pm -4pm, Dec 20. Margie Shannahan will be bringing her glass bead making set up and will delight you with her demo of glass bead making at Springfield Artworks, 183 Main. Plenty of time to browse the shop, too. All invited for this free demo.

Sarpy County Tourism is excited to launch their new Website. (December 1, 2014.)

Travelers utilize a variety of sources to obtain information when planning a trip or an event. A well-planned, up to date website is essential to that process.

The new website for Sarpy County Tourism will provide basic information to the travelers and will include maps, things to do, places to stay, restaurants, hiking and biking trails, shopping and a multitude of other information.

The website is not only designed for the traveler, but for our local and area residents as well, with addresses, hours, phone numbers of the area attractions and recreational sites to assist them when they are looking for something fun right here in their own backyards.
