Sunday, December 20 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to noon

All you care to eat pancakes, french toast, scrambled eggs, hash browns, ham, and sausage links and paddies.  Milk, coffee and orange juice included. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.00 for children, which includes a donation of $1.50.

UPCOMING FOOD DRIVE

The Knights of Columbus and youth group from St. Joseph's Parish will be having a door to door food drive on Sunday December 6th.  The food collected will go to holiday food baskets for those in need with the balance going to a food pantry.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.

AWARD WINNING EXHIBIT COMES TO SPRINGFIELD

Springfield's millinery shop, Margie Trembley Chapeaux, is hosting an exhibit of award winning milliners, 4 from the US and one from Ireland. This exhibit coincides with a Platte River Christmas and the sixth anniversary of Springfield Artworks, both being celebrated at the boutique/gallery in November and December.

"All of the hats are coming from my favorite fiber artist & millinery teachers. I feel so fortunate to have these available for area residents to come see." says Margie Trembley. The exhibit opened Sunday, Nov 1st and continues through Dec 23.

 Cass County Nebraska Economic Development Council (CCNEDC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Trista Farrens as the next executive director effective Nov. 16, 2015



Farrens will focus on retaining existing businesses, attracting new businesses, creating new jobs and expanding current business and industry in Cass County.

Her previous work in regional economic development includes leadership of Washington County’s Gateway Development Corp. Most recently Farrens served as project manager/selection coordinator with Malibu Homes.

“Trista knows how to build relationships. She knows how to lead. She knows how to get things done. We look forward to seeing her channel her experience and skill set into job growth and new capital investment throughout Cass County,” said Jane McDaniel, CCNEDC board president.
