SARPY COUNTY HELP LINE

The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office along with Sarpy County Human Services has established a help line for the citizens of Sarpy County during the COVID-19 pandemic event. Starting today, people who are sick, elderly, or caretakers of this demographic in Sarpy County may call the Sarpy County Sheriff Helpline at 402-593-1593 for needs such as picking up prescriptions, groceries, or other necessities. A uniformed Sarpy County Sheriff's Deputy will pick up and deliver these items in a marked police cruiser. This helpline may also be utilized by the general public to make non-emergency police reports via telephone that do not require a police officer present in their home.

The following providers are participating in this program:

Walmart in Papillion
Target in Papillion (Groceries Only)
Bakers at 36th St & Twin Creek Dr
Bakers at 801 Galvin Rd (Pharmacy Only)
Springfield Drug (Pharmacy Only)

Please check the Sheriff's Office website and Facebook Page for any new updates to this program.

To help, please reply to this email, and attach a screenshot of your ad - include "Free July Ad" in the subject so it will not be misplaced.

Like any business, we regularly analyze and improve the quality of our products. As such, we recognized once again that the very best ROI. Return on Investment of any Advertising Product we provide is the CSS The Community Sustaining Sponsor. However, it is not for everyone. It covers 16 Communities, and it is a $468 Annual Commitment. There is also a limited number of CSS slots, available each year. We also noticed that less expensive ads including both Springfield and Louisville are also very successful. For July, we are introducing a brand new ad for new advertisers that Includes both Louisville and Springfield. It is called the 2020 Ad In order to support all local businesses that straddle to Platte River, we would like to offer a Free 2020 Ad for the month of July 2020 for the first 10 Businesses to send an email to: This email address is being protected from spambots. OPPD OUTREACH PROGRAM

OPPD continues to engage our customers and other stakeholders in new ways during this pandemic and beyond. These outreach efforts are a priority to us as a public power utility.

We have a new engagement platform we wanted to share with you and your readers and viewers. OPPDCommunityConnect is designed to provide our customer-owners with a more enhanced experience. We’re the first electric utility in the country to use this particular platform. It provides multiple ways for customers to interact with OPPD and each other. It also allows our customers to provide valuable feedback in new ways. In addition to providing comments and asking questions, customers can also participate in quick polls and surveys, share stories, exchange ideas, and more.

You can read more about our new engagement platform on OPPD’s The Wire and by visiting OPPDCommunityConnect.com. If we can answer any questions for you or provide interviews on this innovative outreach strategy, please let me know.

Dear Readers:

Our family recently experience the loss of a loved one. At the age of 33 years old, our son-in-law, Steven Weithoner, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in late May.  Steven chose to treat the cancer with chemotherapy, but the treatments did not go well. He and my daughter, Tina, have little ones just under the age of three years old. We are heartbroken but remember Steven’s resolve to care for his young family and how bravely he fought. Steven grew up in Springfield and, for a time, just up the street from us. He was one of the "neighborhood kids". The Weithoner and Manzer families want to thank everyone for their kindness and generosity to Tina, Penelope, Grayson, and Mila.

Steven J. Weithoner, Jr. Tribute

Steven J. Weithoner Jr, 33, formerly of McKinney Texas and Springfield Nebraska passed peacefully in his home in Elkhorn Nebraska surrounded by his loving family.

His wife Christina and three children, Penelope, Grayson, and Mila were the absolute source of love, happiness, and drive for him to be the husband and father he wanted to be.  Steven was also a great friend and kept close long-lasting friendships.  Steven would do anything for his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.

Steven is survived by his loving wife Christina Weithoner; children Penelope, Grayson, and Mila; his parents Dorothy and Steven J. Weithoner Sr; and his sisters Theresa, Gina, and Angela.
