A
new Daycare/Preschool, called “A Step Ahead” is opening in the new
strip mall on Hwy 50 & Platteview Rd by September 1, 2008 if all
goes well with construction.
According to Don Brandt, a
partner in the new daycare, this new venture will have the ability to
care for approximately sixty children. Other partners include, Linda
Brandt, Angela Stanley, and Jill Whitmarsh. Linda has been a
paraprofessional with the Papillion/Lavista school district for over
twenty years with Special Ed students. Jill has also worked in the
Papio district for over seven years in the Special Ed department.
Angela, a music and gifted teacher, has taught for over fourteen years
with both the Millard and Papillion/Lavista school districts. Angela
also has a son with special needs. The Step Ahead daycare welcomes
special needs children and will run an all day preschool. This
daycare/preschool business is associated with Kiddos and the new owners
are looking forward to providing a high quality experience for children
