Happy Easter!
The Easter Egg Hunt was held on a chilly, windy Saturday on March 15. Dressed warm in their winter attire, the kids who attended had a fun time hunting for all the goodies at Buffalo Park. Thanks to Springfield Lodge #112, City of Springfield and the Springfield Business Association for sponsoring this event.

Young writers met for five sessions of creative writing lessons in February and March at Springfield Memorial Library. This class taught students how to brainstorm for ideas, ways to organize their writing, and what it takes to publish your work. Each student produced a creative story. Springfield writer, Janet Nitsick, spoke to the students at the last session on the process of publishing and marketing. Janet encouraged these young writers to work hard and follow their dreams.
