April 16, 2008
It's finally feeling a little more like Spring this week. So be sure to head on over to the Sarpy County Fairgrounds on Saturday Night for the Spring Fling. The event begins at 5:30 with a social hour, dinner, silent auction and live band. The Spring Fling will benefit SYAA.
An Art Show was held on April 10 th by the Experience Art and Literature workshop students at Springfield Memorial Library. Working with library assistant and local artist, Nancy Davis, eleven students, ages 9-12, produced a collage depicting a dream. The basis of their work was inspired by the Ezra Jack Keats book “Dreams”. The students who participated in the workshop included: Whitney Beets, Haley Benedict, Maddie Erhart, Juliet Henderson, Mariah Moore, Susan Sherman, Chris Smith, Mariah Seip, Elize Schmieder and Ethan Steinhoff, and Alysa Wagner . This program was made possible by a grant from the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation.

Recently, yet another home improvement project was completed at our house. My hubby and I now have this done to a science. He is the chief laborer and I am the chief tool handler (I hand him the tools). After almost of thirty two years of many various house and yard projects under our belts, we are still actually married to each other!!
