Happy Halloween! Hope all the Trick or Treaters are having a fun safe holiday!
We finally had that first real frost this past weekend. I don’t ever remember the flowers and veggies lasting this long. My yard is now being put “bed”. It’s always sad for me when this happens…with the beautiful flowers gone and our yard décor put away. This year I decided to keep some flowering pots out for a while. That involves hauling pots in for the night and out in the morning. How long will it last before I give it up? I will let you know in the future.
Springfield’s First United Methodist and St. Joseph’s Youth Groups held a joint potluck with a hayrack ride and bonfire on October 21st at the Keyes farm. Approximately 70 young people attended the event.
Springfield Memorial Library held a Fall Festival and Pumpkin Decorating Contest on Sunday, October 28th. Adults and children entered carved or painted pumpkins for the contest. Check out some cool pumpkins!
