New Drivers on the Road
Driver Education Classes concluded on February 15th, and we now have several new drivers in our community. Let's exercise patience and support as they gain confidence on the road. Remember, we were all new drivers once!
Weather Update
Some have dubbed our recent weather a "snow apocalypse," but for us, it's just another Midwest winter. Here's the 7-day forecast for Springfield from February 19 to 25, 2025:
60°F on Tuesday, February 25th?! Now that's a shocker! But hey, it's the Midwest—anything can happen. Keep an eye on the forecast, because it might just change.

From Keith at the Soda Fountain!
Hey everyone,
Thank you so much for the great turnout at our sale this past Saturday! We couldn't have done it without all of you.
While we had a fantastic response and sold some amazing items, we did notice that we didn’t quite reach our goal of moving a lot of the big furniture pieces. (*insert classic Nebraska weather trying to hinder our day)
The remaining items will likely be marked down a bit more over the next couple of weeks to ensure they find their perfect home.
We also want to note that we had such a great time seeing so many familiar faces as well as lots of new ones!
We are truly grateful for the support of this community and hope you’ll stop by again soon to see some great deals!
If you’re interested in our regular business hours, we’re typically open Thursday and Friday from noon to 6 PM and Saturday from 11 AM to 4 PM. You can also catch Keith most days of the week, during daytime hours at the Corkys building.
Thanks again for all your support! We look forward to seeing you soon

It Happen in Springfield
On February 10, 1956, one of the largest and most complete agricultural exhibits was held at the
Springfield Community Building for the Sarpy County farming community. The Cornhusker Caravan,
which traveled across the state of Nebraska, featured panels of individual exhibits in four general
sections: Solving Livestock Problems, Better Crops - More Profit, Building Better Citizens, and Easier Housekeeping with Planned Storage. Assisting with the plans for the Cornhusker Caravan visit, was a committee of area residents. The Sarpy County Extension Service and Springfield Boosters were sponsors for the event. Approximately 400 people viewed the exhibits and displays during its visit to Springfield.

Fit Tip of the Week:
Chair Workouts for Strength & Mobility!
No gym? No problem! A sturdy chair is all you need for a great workout. Try these moves to stay active anywhere:
Seated Leg Lifts – Strengthen your core by lifting one leg at a time, holding for a few seconds.
Chair Squats – Stand up and sit down without using your hands—great for leg strength!
Seated Knee-to-Elbow Twists – Engage your abs by bringing your knee toward the opposite elbow.
Triceps Dips – Scoot to the edge, place hands on the seat, and lower yourself down and up.
Whether you're at home, in the office, or watching TV, these exercises keep you moving! No excuses—just results!

COME ON OVER!
This is the way country music started out, with acoustic instruments, before electricity. People sat out on the lawn, on the porch, or in a friend’s house and played their instruments together.
Enjoy the originality of music which is still present in many circles of friends.
