Springfielder At Heart community dinner will be held this coming Saturday, December 13 from 5-8pm at the First United Methodist Church. There is no charge for a delicious dinner and wonderful entertainment but free donations are very much appreciated.  All proceeds benefit the three churches in town.  Come celebrate the season, support the community,  and honor the Springfielder At Heart award winner.

HO! HO!  HO!  Have Breakfast with Santa at the Springfield Lodge#112 at 385 Main St. on December 14.  Breakfast includes:  pancakes, sausages, scrambled eggs, coffee, OJ, and milk.  Adults  $6, ages 7-12 $3, and  free for ages 6 & under.  There will be a raffle for 2 Wii gaming machines with tickets costing $5 ea. 
 
Village Inn pie certificates and Marcus Theater Movie tickets are for sale at the Springfield Memorial Library.  Pie certificates are $10 each.  Movie tickets sell for $6.50 or $5.50 with gift certificates at $5, $10, and $25. Mike and Kathleen Gottsch are back from their Honeymoon!!! The wedding took place on November 22nd at Springfield’s St. Joseph’s Church with the reception following at the DC Centre. Congratulations, Mike and Kathleen!!!
The Library’s Cookie Walk was a success! The Springfield Memorial Library would like to thank everyone who baked and donated cookies for the Friends of the Library Cookie Walk. A great big thanks goes out to the Jr. High Honor Society and their sponsor. The library greatly appreciates all your help with setting up, assisting cookie shoppers, helping with the upcoming craft day, and decorating the library. (Stop by to see all the twinkly lights!)
