GREENBLATT & SEAY AT THE OLD SCHOOL HOUSE IN AVOCA, NE
Greenblatt & Seay's Schoolhouse Performance Series on Sunday, May 9, at 2:30 PM, features Deborah Greenblatt & Friends in "The Feminist Manifesto". Through the songs and writings of heroic women (and some liberated men) through the centuries, issues of civil rights and stereotypes will be explored.
Championship fiddler, Greenblatt, will be joined by her husband, David Seay, and a small ensemble of Schoolhouse Music Students. The concert will be followed by light refreshments, and a chance to chat and jam with the performers.
Avoca is in southern Cass County, Nebraska, on the 13 C Spur, one mile south of Highway 34. Admission is $5.00 for adults, and $1.00 for children and students. For more information, write to Greenblatt & Seay, The Old Schoolhouse, P.O. Box 671, Avoca, Nebraska, 68307, or call 402-275-3221, or e-mail them at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

SIGHTREADING WORKSHOP
A Sightreading Workshop is scheduled for beginners and intermediate players on Monday evenings, from May 17 - June 7, from 6:30 PM - 8 PM, in The Old Avoca Schoolhouse, in picturesque Avoca, Nebraska. This will be a wonderful opportunity for beginners and intermediate players of all ages to sightread music that you've never seen before, and don't have to ever see again. During the workshop, led by Deborah Greenblatt, discover how to negotiate new compositions with minimum stress, and maximum music. The beauty of this workshop is that all you have to do is show up.
