Run for the Toilet Paper Event!!
Sunday June 5th 1-4
That’s right folks – We need your TP to help stock local food pantries. Toilet Paper cannot be purchased with State Aid however, as we all know, it is an necessity. The UMC Youth Group will be running through Springfield knocking on doors and asking for your Toilet Paper - Sunday June 5th. So next time you stop at the store pick up an extra package or two, if you can. If we don’t make it to your house on that day, please drop it off at the Church. Our goal is to collect 1000 rolls.
Thanks for your support! If we can all make just a little difference, the world will be a better place.
Let’s all put our Faith into Action!!! James 2: 14-26
COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE
The next community Blood Drive will be held Sunday, June 12 at Springfield City Hall, 9am – 1pm. To schedule your life-saving appointment, contact Ralph at 402-253-8301 or sign up online @www.redcrossblood.org (sponsor code 111)
During the summer months, blood donations often drop to low levels. As the nation’s single largest supplier of blood products and specialized laboratory services to area hospitals, the Red Cross needs your help to remind all eligible donors that summer is a good time to give.
From May 25 through Sept. 14, presenting donors (age 18 and older) can register online at redcrossracing.com to enter the Red Cross Racing “Summer Drive Sweepstakes.” Enter for a chance to win a new, fuel-efficient 2012 Ford Fiesta SE.
Red Cross Racing participants also get points for activities like giving blood and recruiting blood donors. Points can be redeemed at any time for fun racing-themed prizes or donated to support the Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces.
