COMMUNITY HEALTH CORNER

 Heart Health Month

This week we will cover signs that you may be having heart problems.  Signs that may indicate a heart attack is occurring are:
-Chest pain or discomfort
-Jaw, neck, arm, or back pain
-Shortness of breath
-Increase in nausea, lightheadness, or breaking out in a cold sweat
The important thing to remember is that these symptoms may be intense or very mild.  If these symptoms do occur, don't wait until it is too late.  Call 9-1-1 and get help immediately.  Take charge of your heart health.  Recognize and act if these symptoms do present themselves.
More details on heart health can be found at www.heart.org.  I encourage you to look at the information on how to keep yourself heart healthy!  There are great tips on diet and activity for optimal heart health.  Take care of yourself!
