REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR NO WRONG DOOR TRAINING AND NETWORKING
Sarpy/Cass Department of Health and Wellness in partnership with The Nebraska Association of Local
Health Directors and The Brain Injury Association of Nebraska are coordinating a No Wrong Door
Training and Networking in Bellevue, NE on March 16, 2016.
No Wrong Door trainings have been developed by the multi‐disciplinary Veteran's Brain Injury Task
Force to assist community members, from a wide variety of professions and organizations, in serving veterans and their families. During this one‐day training, attendees will hear testimony from veterans
and their families. Experts in the fields of PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury will also discuss how
military experiences influence the emotions and behaviors of military members and their families.
Finally, there will be resource representatives from our community partners available to answer
questions and provide support through the day.
Invited to attend are professionals and community members who have contact with, or work with
returning service members or veterans, or their families. Community members who have not
traditionally worked with veterans are encouraged to attend as well. There is value for everyone...
teachers, principals, health professionals, neighbors, clergy, employers, law enforcement, etc. It is a
great way to network with others who have a common goal.
For more information or to register for this one day event visit http://nalhd.org/nwd.html

HAPPENING NEARBY
The MURRAY FREEDOM FESTIVAL Board of Directors wishes to THANK all the patrons who enjoyed our pancake breakfast last Sunday. It was a HUGE success!
Our generous volunteers have again demonstrated that it takes a COMMUNITY of FRIENDS WORKING TOGETHER to make things happen.
Thanks to those who donated supplies and equipment, Principal Eric Dennis, for the use of the school and to the 'Pancake King', Wes Redden for those tasty, fluffy pancakes! The Nebraska Community Website editors did a great job of advertising for us, as did Steve Warga with the Cassgram. We had guests from many neighboring communities - even from as far away as Michigan!
For your continued and generous SUPPORT of the annual4TH of JULY celebration in Murray,
THANK YOU!
