THANK YOU!
Sorry I am late, but I still want to thank all who donated and tried to donate blood on Sunday Sept 18th at the Springfield Community Blood Drive. Also want to thank all involved: Fire Department, Local Merchants, Al Thibault, and Anna and Don Siner who help due to my absence. You ended up donating 37 units of blood and that will help 111 people who are in need.
Please mark your calendars for Sunday Dec.11th. Hope to see you there.

Lofte Community Theatre Auditions
The Lofte Community Theatre near Manley will be holding open auditions for their upcoming production of Ken Ludwig’s holiday tale, ’Twas the Night Before Christmas on Monday, October 24 and Tuesday, October 25 at 7:00pm.
This show is not your traditional 19th-century tale that is familiar to many. This is a modern-day treatment that involves a stirring mouse and his human friend, Emily. Together they embark upon a journey to visit Santa Claus because he missed one of their houses last year. Along the way there is a sword fight, a squirt gun and a perilous airplane ride. This is a children’s show so acting styles will need to be energetic and broad. Actors need to sing and be physically capable of portraying a magic adventure.
Artistic Director Kevin Colbert is looking for a cast of five actors. Specifically, he is looking for a young girl (age 10-15) to play Emily and a gentleman (age 25-50) to play Santa. The other roles are flexible for men and women between the ages of 20-50.
Actors will audition with cold readings from the script. Please bring a list of possible schedule conflicts for the months of November and December. Rehearsals will begin on or around November 6. Production dates are December 3, 4, 8-11 and 16-18.
Those with questions about the production or the rehearsal process may call Director Kevin Colbert at (402) 234-2553. The Lofte Community Theatre is located just east of the intersection of Hwy 1 and 50 near the town of Manley.
