SPRINGFIELD COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE
COORDINATOR IS STEPPING DOWN.
Thank you to Ralph Meister for his years of service.
Just want to thank all who donated Blood and made an effort to donate on Sunday June 25th. We fell short of our goal but we still collected 37 units. Also want to thank the Fire Department for use of building and all the local vendors who are willing to let us put up reminder fliers.
Also since Sunday was my last drive that I was coordinating. I want to thank all who donated over the last 9 or 10 years that I served as Blood Drive coordinator in the area. Must say I got to meet a lot of people that I would have not had the chance to meet and for the most part it was very fulfilling experience.

Red Cross seeks volunteer in Springfield
to coordinate Community Blood Drives
SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (June 26, 2017) — The American Red Cross is currently looking for someone to fill the role of volunteer blood drive coordinator for the Springfield community blood drives.
“Throughout the Red Cross, volunteers contribute in countless ways, including leadership roles, serving military and civilian families, responding to emergencies, donating blood, coordinating blood drives and more,” said Blair Bonczynski, Donor Recruitment account manager. “The Red Cross could not operate without the tireless efforts of volunteers.”
The ideal blood drive coordinator will be a dedicated individual who wants to give back to the community and is organized, personable and motivated to take the helm. The right volunteer for this position must be comfortable with customer service skills, willing to greet blood donors and socialize while providing care post-donation, make phone calls to schedule donor appointments and fulfill behind-the-scenes organizational duties. Individuals must be willing to commit to 10 to 15 hours for each blood drive, five times a year.
Please contact Blair Bonczynski at 402-660-0446 or
