EXHIBITS AT THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM ART

Margie Trembley co-owner Of Springfield Artworks and Margie Trembley Chapeaux just returned from New York City where one of her hats is in an exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art along with hats from 27 other milliners. The Launch was Saturday and Margie was in attendance. The exhibit runs through Feb 2, 2019.  Margie created a GoFundMe page to assist her with travel expenses to get there for this event. “It was a marvelous trip. A great opportunity for a Springfield Business to be showcased in one of the most outstanding museums in the World.”


VFW COMMUNITY BREAKFAST

VFW Community Breakfast is back and will be held on Sunday, 30 December 2018 from 8:00 am to noon at the Legion Hall, 166 S. 2nd Street in Springfield.  Dine on pancakes, french toast, scrambled eggs, hash browns, ham and sausage.  Milk, juice and coffee will round out the meal.  Cost is $7.00 for adults, which includes a $1.50 donation and $3.50 for the youngsters under 12.  Breakfasts will be held on the last Sunday of each month, now through April.

The Sarpy/Cass Health Department offers free transportation assistance to women with a mammogram appointment. The service includes home pick up, hospital/clinic drop off, and return home drop off. Eligibility includes women aged 40-75 years living in Sarpy or Cass counties. Please call the Health Department at 402-537-6968 for more information.
