WAYS TO REGISTER TO VOTE

Blue and White Campaign Posters

Voters should re-register to vote every time they move, change their name, or wish to change their political party affiliation.  If you do not re-register to vote, you may need to vote a Provisional Ballot at the polling site, which may increase the time it takes to vote.

If you have a Nebraska Drivers License or State ID card click the link below to be taken to the State Online Voter Registration website.

https://www.nebraska.gov/apps-sos-voter-registration/

For about more information on voter registration or to print out a form to mail:

SARPY COUNTY HELP LINE

The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office along with Sarpy County Human Services has established a help line for the citizens of Sarpy County during the COVID-19 pandemic event. Starting today, people who are sick, elderly, or caretakers of this demographic in Sarpy County may call the Sarpy County Sheriff Helpline at 402-593-1593 for needs such as picking up prescriptions, groceries, or other necessities. A uniformed Sarpy County Sheriff's Deputy will pick up and deliver these items in a marked police cruiser. This helpline may also be utilized by the general public to make non-emergency police reports via telephone that do not require a police officer present in their home.

The following providers are participating in this program:

Walmart in Papillion
Target in Papillion (Groceries Only)
Bakers at 36th St & Twin Creek Dr
Bakers at 801 Galvin Rd (Pharmacy Only)
Springfield Drug (Pharmacy Only)

Please check the Sheriff's Office website and Facebook Page for any new updates to this program.

IT HAPPENED IN SPRINGFIELD HISTORY

Farm History2

August Glesmann fills his Hart Parr tractor with water.

Farm history page1

August Glesmann's threshing crew: Chris Glesmann, John Baley, Harry Beck, Carl Glesmann. Old milk cans held water for the steam engine. Horse and machine power were used.

Harvest crew came in for lunch

It’s harvest season. Harvest season long ago was made easier in the late 1920’s and early 1930’s when machine powered tractors became more affordable for farmers.  Springfield area farmer, August Glesmann, purchased a Hart Parr gas or kerosene powered tractor to work his fields and neighboring fields. Farmers all shared the load at harvest time by helping each other since no one could afford to employ help.

Below is the link to sign up.  Everyone that signs up before October 15th will get a T-Shirt and a Medal.  Anyone who signs up after October 15th will not be guaranteed a medal.

The Cornhusker Country Music Theater is gradually getting a NEW LOOK!

We have a small dance floor and encourage you to bring your friends and loved ones to join us for a good, clean, old-fashioned musical experience.
