 Gardening

SPRINGFIELD AREA MASTER GARDENERS

It is very difficult to think of flowers and green grass when you wake up to 7 degrees! Hey Mother Nature what happened to the 60 degrees? Did you forget to pay the bill?

Anyway, if you're anything like my master gardeners you are all suffering from cabin fever. Not a deadly disease just something that happens to those of us that feel better when we put a seed or plant into the ground.

Speaking of which: Carin, Sue, Renee, Gordon, Liz, Bob, Brooke, Esther, Mary, Mary S, Mary Lou, Allie, and our new additions Christy and Deb are all eager to get our hands dirty and put the Spring back into Springfield.

This week is a great week to look at those seed catalogs and start ordering especially our cold weather crops. (lettuce, arugula, radishes, etc). I want to see if anyone breaks Bob’s record on 64 tomatoes this year!
