The Platteview High School Choir is competing for a chance to sing with Foreigner at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Ralston, NE on Wednesday, May 3^rd. Vote once per day for the Trojan Singers until the contest ends on April 12, 2023 at 12:00p.m. The choir with the most votes will be singing “I Wanna Know What Love Is: with Foreigner live on stage. PLUS foreigner will donate $500 to the high school’s choir program. Your votes are appreciated to help make this opportunity happen for our local high school choir. A gusty day in April 1992 was perfect for Springfield Elementary fourth-grade students to try out their kite flying skills in Buffalo Park.

Before you start shopping for your plants I recommend you make a list of things you need to do before you start your favorite hobby.

First: prepare your planting areas.

Getting rid of last year's debris. Now you are hearing a lot about waiting until the little insects and pollinators come out of the ground. I have seen some emerge already so it is totally up to you.

Second:

If you haven't put down some pre-emergents for spring you may want to now.

Third:

Make sure and get all the debris picked up so you're not leaving any diseases from last year behind.

Fourth:

Make sure and sharpen all your tools. You want to make sure any cuts you make are clean. Also make sure you find everything you might use because it makes it easier later like gloves, pruners, and such.

Fifth:

Purchase your replacement items now like bad hoses, broken stools because with the way somethings are it may take awhile.

A few more days until Spring and the plant buying can begin. You can plant cold weather crops such as radishes and lettuce, but the rest you should wait until ground temp is 50 degrees.
