Welcome Back, Springfield!

Happy New Year! It's  2025! The perfect time to embrace fresh opportunities, reconnect with our community, and set the tone for a fantastic year ahead.

Driver Ed classes are starting soon (details below): Stay safe by checking tire pressure, carrying an emergency kit, and driving cautiously on icy roads.
Save on heating costs this season by sealing drafts and keeping your thermostat at 68°F.
Start the year by reviewing your insurance needs, updating coverage, and exploring ways to save.
Build sustainable health and fitness habits by enjoying fun activities, meal prepping, and celebrating small victories—every step counts!

Check out one of our local churches—they offer fun groups and gatherings to join. The library always has activities for the whole family, so take a look at their schedule. Don’t forget to check the hours of our Main Street stores as many are still in holiday mode. And why not start the year with coffee from Black Sheep or a sweet treat at the soda fountain?

Let’s kick off the first day of 2025 with positivity, progress, and plenty of hometown spirit!

It Happen in Springfield

In the spirit of giving, the Springfield Jaycees started putting up Springfield’s Christmas decorations on Main Street in the late 1970s. They raised money by selling Christmas trees in the 1980s. Their Christmas tree stand was situated on Highway 50, just north of Main Street, close to Neitzel's Oil. The Jaycees were able to add new outdoor decorations with fundraising monies along with other contributions to the Springfield community.

Fit Tip of the Week: Start Small, Keep Progressing

The best way to lose a few pounds and avoid getting trapped by fad diets is to focus on building a sustainable lifestyle. Begin by gradually increasing your steps and adding weights to your routine, while cutting back on excess food. Consistency and small changes lead to lasting results!

Let me know if you need a accountability partner. I love this stuff.

Unveiling the Hidden Gem: Come Jam at Our Secret Spot!

COME ON OVER!

This is the way country music started out, with acoustic instruments, before electricity.  People sat out on the lawn, on the porch, or in a friend’s house and played their instruments together.

Enjoy the originality of music which is still present in many circles of friends.
