Welcome Back, Springfield!
Hey Springfield,

You know how we usually save the personal shootout for the end of the newsletter? Well, we’ve got a special birthday to celebrate today—mine!  Wishing myself a very happy birthday!

This time of year is full of meaningful celebrations, and it’s humbling to share a birthday with the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His birthday, officially celebrated on the Monday after the 15th, reminds us of his powerful vision and the legacy of his “I Have a Dream” speech. It’s a time to reflect on the strides we’ve made and the work we can still do to create a more just and unified world.

And speaking of milestones, January 20th is another important day—it’s Inauguration Day! This marks the peaceful transition of leadership in our nation as we welcome a new president. No matter where you stand, it’s a reminder of the resilience and strength of our democracy.

On that note, this newsletter is all about celebrating our community. Have a birthday, anniversary, fundraiser, or special event you’d like to share? Send it my way, and I’ll be sure to feature it in an upcoming edition.

Let’s make this week one of reflection, celebration, and connection. Because, as Dr. King dreamed, and as we know, it truly takes a village to thrive.

Here’s to a fantastic week, Springfield!

It Happen in Springfield

.In 1985, the beginning of January began with unseasonably warm weather. Kids in Springfield were eager to be out sledding and having fun in the snow. They finally got their wish when snow fell in the middle of the month. During recess, Springfield Elementary students used the slopes behind the school to slide down the snowy hill.

Fit Tip of the Week: Start Small, Keep Progressing

The Most Powerful Force in Life: Consistency

Getting fit doesn’t happen overnight—it’s the result of consistent good choices. Every workout, every healthy meal, and every small step adds up.

Consistency can work both ways: good habits lead to progress, while bad habits hold us back. Choose wisely, stay steady, and let consistency be your greatest strength.

Unveiling the Hidden Gem: Come Jam at Our Secret Spot!

CCMT

COME ON OVER!

This is the way country music started out, with acoustic instruments, before electricity.  People sat out on the lawn, on the porch, or in a friend’s house and played their instruments together.

Enjoy the originality of music which is still present in many circles of friends.
