Welcome Back Springfield!

Hello, Springfielders! Turn your attention on high for this quick newsletter—packed with weather updates, fascinating facts, and just a dash of seasonal snark.

From Arctic Freezes to Tropical Breezes

Winter’s got the world spinning in a snow globe of extremes! Alaska’s locked in a frosty -40°F, cold enough to make even the toughest polar bears question their life choices. Hawaii, as always, laughs in sunshine at a breezy 82°F. Arizona can’t make up its mind, rocking 30°F mornings and flipping to sunny 70°F afternoons. And here in Springfield - COLD. Well, we’ve got snow in the South—yes, snow in the South—because why not? Our weather’s serving up a signature cocktail of “meh” and “brr,” with a dash of what is happening? Winter, you’ve officially gone rogue.

Springfield’s 7-Day Forecast

  • Average Weekly High: 31.57°F – “Brr” is right!
  • Warmest Day: Sunday at 38°F – “meh” we’ll take it.

Cabin Fever Cure: Shop Local!

check their Facebook page, or visit their website to confirm store hours. Weather can change plans quickly, and we’d hate for you to make the trip only to find a “closed” sign! Bundle up, Springfield! Remember: layers are your best friend, and making conversations about the cold weather is part of living in cold weather. See you next week—hopefully with fewer frozen toes and more sunshine! Stay warm,

The 1991 varsity boys basketball team at Platteview High School achieved a successful season by focusing on goal-setting, teamwork, and leadership. At the time, the regular season scoreboard of 10-8, was among the best in recent years. Platteview had two All Conference players: Gary Fibich and Darin Johnson. The Omaha World Herald chose Darin Johnson to be on the All Area Small School Team. In the opening round of the District Tournament, the team lost to Waverly by three points to finish the season.

Unveiling the Hidden Gem: Come Jam at Our Secret Spot!

CCMT

COME ON OVER!

This is the way country music started out, with acoustic instruments, before electricity.  People sat out on the lawn, on the porch, or in a friend’s house and played their instruments together.

Enjoy the originality of music which is still present in many circles of friends.
