WHAT’S NEW IN SPRINGFIELD, NE
December 31, 2008

Well it seems as though everyone has a “Top Five or Top Ten” these days. So here goes…
These are my Top Five things to do in 2009:
1. Read more books (I’m the librarian who needs to read more!)
2. Forget my birthday. I’m too old anyway.
3. Teach my dog some new tricks – Hubby says “NO BARKING” would be a good one!
4. Organize – Do I say that every year? (yes!!!!)
5. Produce a better garden- I’m dreaming (It’s 18 degrees right now, not 118!)
What is your Top Five? Send me a list. I’d love to post it.
If the kids are already bored and need more exercise send them to the Springfield Memorial Library after school on Tuesdays from 3:30 – 4:30pm in January for “Get Fit & Read”. Miss Connie will lead the kids through an Exercise Video. Afterwards, a healthy snack will be served with time for reading.
January 24 is the date set for Soaring Wings Vineyards “Meet Your Winemaker” dinner. A fabulous five course meal prepared by Chef Paul Pleskach with wines produced by Soaring Wings vineyard will complement each course. Seating is limited, so be sure to book your reservation.
