 Scouts Arrow

From August 3-8, 2015, Arrowmen from around the country have the unique opportunity to gather together at Michigan State University to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the Order of the Arrow at the 2015 National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC). Five of Springfield Troop 711, including Mr. Hagerty, are at this once-in-a-lifetime conference.

Joey Brinkman reported back that he was told, “This is the largest conference ever held on the campus of Michigan State University.” This conference’s attendance of 15,000 Arrowmen called for three years of planning, with thousands of emails between OA members/volunteer and the MSU team.

The boys have had the opportunity of running in a 10k, 5k race, OAWarrior Lodge Competitions, Scuba lessons, NOAC Science Fair, extreme BMX, BubbleBall, flag football, Legacy Speaker Series: Collectors Guide Authors, patch trading and the list goes on and on.

The 2015 National Order of the Arrow Conference is bigger than ever, not only at MSU but all over the virtual world! The Order of the Arrow has nightly news stream which the hours include the following times if you would like to view it.

  • 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Patch Design 101
  • 8 p.m. – NOAC Nightly News
  • 8:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. – “Those We Serve”
