In the summer of 1994, the Springfield Library celebrated the Summer Reading Program with the theme "Books Make the World Go Round " during the months of June and July. The Library organized engaging activities for children, featuring the popular Hiccups the clown who wowed the audience with his balloon animal creations. Additionally, kids enjoyed an afternoon of face painting by the talented volunteer duo, Michelle Kildow and Kim Fornoff. As part of the program, the children were treated to a tour of the Fire Hall, conveniently located in the same building as the Library.
