Fit Tip of the Week:

Its Cookie Week!!

Here's a practical fit tip for handling cookie temptations:

"Follow the 80/20 rule: enjoy a cookie or two guilt-free as part of your day, but keep the majority of your meals clean and nutritious. Pair treats with protein or fiber to help balance your blood sugar and prevent overeating. Remember, it's about moderation, not deprivation!"

Also, staying hydrated and keeping healthy snacks handy (Veggies) can help you avoid overindulging. What's your go-to strategy for staying on track during treat-heavy seasons?

 It Happened in Springfield

Photo: Springfield Pre-School children (back row) Livy Gossett, Shawn Smith, Erica Rehn, Alicyn Dykins; (front row) Jeff Selk, Chad Zimmerman.

Frosty the Snowman made a surprise visit to the Springfield Pre-School on December 8, 1981. That week Frosty also went to see the pupils at Westmont Elementary and Springfield Elementary schools.
The visits were sponsored by the Springfield Women’s Club to advertise the upcoming Santa’s Village event being held on Saturday December 13 at the Springfield Community Building. Santa’s Village was an annual Christmas event organized by the Women’s Club for the community. Besides Frosty the Snowman, events in 1981 included a juggler, a junior store, bake shop, and poinsettia sale. The opportunity for all kids to see Santa Claus and have their photos taken was the highlight of the day.

COME ON OVER!

This is the way country music started out, with acoustic instruments, before electricity.  People sat out on the lawn, on the porch, or in a friend’s house and played their instruments together.

Enjoy the originality of music which is still present in many circles of friends.
