Platteview High is celebrating Homecoming this week!
The Platteview Booster will sponsor a Tailgate Friday night before the game. Club members may eat for free and non-members cost is $2.00. Attend the Homecoming football game to cheer on the Trojan team for a win against Mount Michael at 7pm. For all Platteview High students, the Homecoming Dance takes place on Saturday in the Platteview High commons area from 8:00 – 11:00pm. Homecoming candidates are:
Jessica Jensen, Melissa Keyes, Angela Kurtz, Laurel Shepard, Krysta Shepard, Jake Cloyd, Owen Dewey, Zach Fryar, Doug Tosoni, and Jim Walter.
The ongoing “Get Your Goat” fundraiser for the First United Methodist Church Youth Group is now taking place. Fork over $20.00 to get your picture removed from the bulletin board in the church Narthex or to pay for “Insurance” to ensure that a nice goat does not pay you a visit.

All youth are invited to come to the Springfield Memorial Library for an Internet Safety program on October 2nd at 3:30pm. Presenting this very important information will be Sarpy County Officer, Nicole Damewood. Parents are also welcome to attend. Snacks will be served before the program begins.
The Friends of the Springfield Memorial Library are taking orders for spring flowering bulbs. Stop by the library to place your order. The Friends will receive 50% of the proceeds for all orders. They are also selling Marcus Theatre ticket packages and gift certificates. These make great gifts for all your“movie –loving” family and friends. WHAT’S HAPPENING IN SPRINGFIELD –The Calendar
September 28, 11am - 2pm – St. Joseph Catholic Church parish picnic at the home of Carl Weiss. Parishoners with last names beginning with A-M are to bring salads or side dishes and N-Z may bring desserts. Hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages will be provided.
September 29 – South Sarpy district #46 schools closed – Teacher In-service -Have a fun day off, students!
October 2, 3:30 – 4:30pm - Internet Safety program at Springfield Memorial Library. Sarpy County Officer Nicole Damewood will present “How to Stay Safe Online.” All youth and parents are welcome. Snacks served, too!
October 2, 7pm - Westmont Elementary 5th& 6th grade music program at Platteview High Auditorium
October 9, 4:00 – 6:00. Flu Immunization Clinic at Springfield Memorial Library. The cost is $25.00 or free with a Part B Medicare card. Participants must be 13 years of age or older.
